A Journey Through a Lifetime

ReCollection was created to raise awareness about the experience of dementia which affects over 50 million people worldwide.  This space is meant to share empathy, as well as educate about how dementia affects both the individuals diagnosed and their families.  This is a deeply personal experience about a subject many are hesitant to talk about and is designed to be experienced alone or in groups of 1-3 because of such.

Your Experience Begins Here
Your Experience Begins Here

ReCollection is planned to be built on the 4th floor of the Sentinel Commons in the currently un-renovated attic space of the building. Additionally, Guests will enter in via the alley way off of Marshall st. and begin their journey via the building’s freight elevator. The experience is fully compliant with ADA code and all guests exit through the main stairwell and elevator shaft of the Commons out to street level.

Engage Emotionally

ReCollection is planned to serve the community of Winston-Salem and surrounding areas but can be expanded further to new satellite experiences in other cities. With an aging population, more individuals are experiencing the impacts of dementia and the toll it can take on a  family. ReCollection plans to act as a resource of learning and empathy.
